Ccherie Ceramics (pronounced C, Chérie) is the hobby ceramics business of Catherine Cherie Joseph who has been taking classes in Canberra since 2009.

 

Catherine has a signature shape she uses for cups and pots based on a stemless wine glass and decorates her work a number of ways which includes using powdered colorants and slips, carving and fires her work in both oxidation reduction firing, using a selection of clays to enhance the colours and complete the effects.

 

This year she has concentrated on creating a crackle effect using her colour technique and sodium silicate and has loved using midfire black clay.
